Welcome to First Tee – Rhode Island
Our First Tee – Rhode Island chapter is led by Orlando Peace, who has over 25 years of youth development and provides representational leadership to our youth of color. Our program gives kids with limited golf experience the opportunity to learn a new sport while connecting them to career opportunities. Through a combination of on-course and off-course activities, First Tee – Rhode Island helps kids build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices. The program is now offered year-round to provide opportunities for local youth, particularly those identified as low to moderate income.
Our Programs
Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our golf-based personal growth programs, we see kids build life and leadership skills that empower them in all areas of life, including school, friendships and eventually careers.
